Dear Bedford Residents,
The Bedford Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization
dedicated to its members. Our Board of Directors is comprised of
volunteers who work for the benefit of the community as a whole.
Our mission is a clear one: To be an advocate and resource for local
businesses, a community partner focused on business development, and
an activist for supporting and promoting buying locally. The activities of
the Bedford Chamber of Commerce are all aimed at increasing opportunities
for businesses to succeed; when local businesses are successful, the entire community prospers.
The Bedford Chamber of Commerce is, in fact, a business organization. However, our success
hinges on our connection with the community. This relationship between these two entities is
what makes my job so satisfying. I am constantly looking for ways to connect the two in an effort
to make Bedford a better place to live and work.
This directory is a wonderful example. The Bedford Chamber is proud to provide this “Local
Business Guide” as a resource to our community. As members of our Chamber, the businesses
listed in this directory demonstrate their commitment to community and should be supported by
their residents. Every business listed in this directory is a member of our Chamber of Commerce.
I urge you, the next time you go shopping, review this directory and make a conscious effort to
spend your dollars in one of these stores. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed in the value
of what our stores offer and by the personal relationships you can build with these exceptional
business owners. Research indicates that for every $100 spent locally, $68 stays in the local
economy. Money spent at local businesses is reinvested into our communities through taxes, job
creation, and charitable donations. When you buy locally you are investing in your community.
Keep this directory handy. Use it to connect with the businesses and
professionals involved with the Chamber. It is a terrific resource.
